Light Up bedfordview is a fundraising group where we (buyalot) collect money from the people of bedfordview and buy solar street lights/solar flood lights. 

1. This project will help with the ongoing crime in south africa. - Because of loadshedding, many burglars have found the 'perfect' time to break in. 

2. This will help stop the pedestrian injuries. - In the dark, many pedestrians often go off the side walk and onto the streets and do not have enough time to move before being hit. 

3. This will stop the accidents. - With street lights being off during load shedding, many cars may hit trees/signs or buildings. 

While there are many homes and businesses that have generators/inverters that distribute small amounts of light, this is not enough.
